The Esmond Station Park site, near the intersection of Houghton Road and Mary Ann Cleveland Way, is nearly 120 acres larger than the 155-acre Kino Sports Complex. The concept plan includes a community center, an aquatic center, a library, and 19 or more baseball, softball, and multisport fields. The old Southern Pacific Railroad rail bed, as well as buildings that were part of the railroad’s Esmond Station, will be retained and incorporated into the park.
