Florida Wash is an area on the northern edge of the Santa Rita Mountains, near Madera Canyon. The specific area often visited is the trail that begins at a parking area adjacent to the closed-to-the-public work center. This is a prototypical desert wash lined with some cottonwoods and willows that is lined with steep rocky sides with catclaw and prickly pear cactus.
