The Chatham Fish Pier is a historic site and a popular tourist attraction in Chatham. It is located at the end of Shore Road, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The pier was built in 1939 by the Federal Works Progress Administration to provide a landing place for the local fishing fleet. Today, visitors can watch the commercial fishers unload their catch of cod, haddock, flounder, lobster, and other seafood. The pier also features a fish market, a restaurant, and a marine education center.
