When submitting eBird observations at Nauset Beach, it is most helpful to start a new checklist for each hotspot in the area. Use the general hotspot when you have a checklist that includes multiple locations or if no other hotspot or personal location is appropriate for your sightings.

About this Location

Beautiful sunrises, excellent bass and blues fishing, surfing, sunbathing, swimming in cool ocean waters. Despite its size, the massive parking lot occasionally fills up when the sun is strong. The beach is open to off-road vehicles with a special permit. Attendant on duty. It is a bit of a walk from parking over the dune and sllightly steep down to the beach.

Nauset Beach is an expansive, 10-mile-long beach stretching to Chatham Harbor. The beach is renowned for its expansive shoreline that stretches out into the Atlantic Ocean. This coastal beach is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore and offers visitors fine sand and rolling waves for sunbathing, swimming, and surfing.

The beach is managed by the Town of Orleans and there is a parking fee in season.
