Foss Mountain has panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It is a popular spot for hiking, running, and blueberry picking in the summer months. The trail to the summit is short and easy, but the road to the trailhead is rough and steep, so a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. Foss Mountain is managed by the Eaton Conservation Commission, which strives to preserve and protect the natural beauty and resources of the area.
Foss Mountain features a long, open ridge, which is home to a low bush blueberry farm. The north peak features views in all directions.
Foss Mountain has two summits, the northern summit which is where the views are, and the northern (higher summit) which is wooded and further along the summit ridge. There are blueberries (in season) so please check the trailhead kiosk to see where it is okay to pick them.
The AllTrails website has a description and map of a hike at Foss Mountain.
