Birds of Interest

Migrant warblers, vireos, orioles, and more frequent the trees and brushy areas, especially in spring, and Wood Ducks breed here. Dense stands of wild rice block the view into the marsh after early summer.

Fields Grove Park has a basketball court, picnic area, playground, and tennis court.

Salmon Brook is partially dammed by a culverted footbridge; just beyond the grassy area, playground, and basketball court is the wide marshy area that attracts ducks and geese, herons, gulls, various hawks, and Bald Eagle.

Directions from F. E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua (Google will tell you to take Exit 5, this route avoids a lot of traffic and lights). Take Exit 4 E to East Dunstable Road; continue on East Dunstable Road 0.7 miles to the traffic lights at Main Street; turn left on Main Street and continue 0.4 miles to Field Street, a small side street on your left (on your right will be a large blue sign for Foy Insurance). Continue to the end of Field Street to the granite sign for Field’s Grove Park and the driveway into the parking lot.
