The Napatree Point Conservation Area is 86 pristine acres of some of the rarest habitats in Rhode Island. It is owned and managed by the Watch Hill Fire District and the Watch Hill Conservancy. Napatree is a community resource and is open to the public year-round. Napatree Point extends 1.3 miles west into Little Narragansett Bay from Watch Hill, Westerly, RI and has been formally designated a “Globally Important Bird Area” by the National Audubon Society and a Climate Response Demonstration Site by the University of Rhode Island Coastal Institute.
Napatree is open to visitors 24 hours a day with no entrance fee. However, camping, hunting, fires, grills, drones, vehicles (including bicycles), and fireworks are prohibited at all times. Napatree Point Conservation Area does not have its own designated parking facilities. Watch Hill Village is a small, popular seaside community with a handful of parking options for visitors. In the height of the summer, these tend to fill quickly. There are no restroom facilities at the conservation area.
