Located along the Flagstaff Urban Trail System. Interpretive signs encourage visitors to watch wildlife intentionally and regularly to see how this restored pond and riparian habitat are used by numerous birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and fishes. 

Walking trails surround the pond, where you’ll find native vegetation and abundant birdlife. Frances Short is just a short walk to Thorpe Park’s ball fields, dog park, and community center.
