About Avra Valley Wastewater Treatment Plant
Ponds open daily, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Do not remain inside the gate after 2 pm or your will be locked in.
Park in the parking lot outside the main gate to the facility. From the parking lot, walk directly west and enter through a gate in the low fence between the parking area and the south end of the ponds and turn left. Bird watching is limited to the designated large ponds west of the facility. Do not go inside the high-security fence around the main plant facility. Do not go into the basins, touch or drink the water.
Please note: Areas of the ponds may be inaccessible when heavy equipment and trucks are in operation. Please respect all chained areas and signage.
