First Encounter Beach is a place with historic significance. It was so named because it is the site of the first encounter between Native Americans and the Pilgrims before their settling in Plymouth. First Encounter shares similar attributes to other bay beaches: calm, warm water, a panoramic view of Cape Cod Bay, expansive flats at low tide, and low dunes. There is a parking fee.
