`Lovers Lake is a freshwater pond that covers an area of 32 acres and has a maximum depth of 39 feet. Lovers Lake got its name from a legend that says two young lovers drowned in the lake after their canoe capsized. Some people claim to hear their voices or see their ghosts on moonlit nights.
