About Cook Pond
Cook Pond is a 158-acre warm water pond, with an average depth of 10 feet and a maximum depth of 20 feet. This pond is also known as Laurel Lake. The fertile water has a transparency of 6.5 feet or less, and the bottom is composed of rubble, rock, and muck. The bordering 2.6 miles of shoreline are lightly developed but there is heavy development of residences and commercial buildings just outside the shoreline. Part of the southern shoreline is in Tiverton, Rhode Island.
