Beechbrook Cemetery was established in 1854 as a non-sectarian cemetery for the residents of the city and the surrounding towns. The cemetery covers 27 acres of land and contains over 10,000 graves, including those of prominent citizens, veterans, and victims of the Great Fire of 1864. The cemetery is notable for its scenic landscape, featuring rolling hills, mature trees, and a pond.
