Kenoza Lake covers an area of about 224 acres and has a maximum depth of 40 feet. The lake is surrounded by a 4.5-mile trail that offers opportunities for hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing. Kenoza Lake was originally called Great Pond but was renamed in 1859 by poet John Greenleaf Whittier, who lived nearby. The name Kenoza means "lake of pickerel" in the Algonquian language.
Kenoza Lake is located south of I-495 and north of the Merrimack River. It is one of the lakes in Winnekenni Park.
