Palmer Pond is part of the Salem Sound watershed and drains into the Atlantic Ocean via a culvert under Humphrey Street. Palmer Pond was the location of the first town meeting in Swampscott in 1852.

The Palmer Pond conservation property is owned by the Town of Swampscott. It is 17 acres.
