Putnamville Reservoir is a water supply reservoir located in Danvers. It was created in 1955 by withdrawing water from the Ipswich River and covers an area of about 312 acres. The reservoir is owned and operated by the Salem-Beverly Water Supply Board and provides drinking water to the cities of Salem and Beverly. The reservoir is a popular recreational spot for fishing, boating, hiking, and wildlife viewing. The reservoir has a maximum depth of 42 feet and an average depth of 18 feet.
Locust Street (MA-35) is on the east side of the Putnamville Reservoir.
