Rafes Chasm Park features a rocky chasm that was formed by the erosion of the sea and the wind over millions of years. The chasm is about 60 feet deep and 10 feet wide and offers a view of the Atlantic Ocean. The park also has trails that lead to the shore, where visitors can enjoy the beach, the tide pools, and the wildlife.
Rafes Chasm Park conservation property is owned by the City of Gloucester. It is 11 acres. There is pull-off parking for the trail to the shore on Hesperus Avenue.
