About this Location

The Stirling Street Bog is part of the Shawsheen River watershed. The bog was created by glacial deposits and has a peat layer that is up to 15 feet thick. The bog is managed by the Andover Conservation Commission and is protected by the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act.

The Stirling Street Bog is north of Haverhill Street (MA-133).
