Greenfield Community College (GCC) is a public institution that offers a variety of academic programs and services to the residents of Franklin County and beyond. One of the distinctive features of GCC is its campus natural areas, which comprise about 40 acres of fields, forests, wetlands, and streams. These areas provide opportunities for education, research, recreation, and stewardship for students, faculty, staff, and community members. GCC's campus natural areas are managed by the Natural Resources Management Program, which aims to conserve and enhance the ecological values and functions of the land, while also supporting the educational mission of the college.

The main campus is located on a 107-acre property near the junction of I-91 and MA-2.
