About this Location

Blackman Field and Woods are 48 acres off Indian Hill Road given by Arthur and Camilla Blackman in 2000. The property includes a scenic field and adjacent woods with a trail that allows visitors to discover and enjoy Paul Matisse’s “Forest Bells,” donated by the Groton artist in 1997. The trail is very scenic with views, rocky ledges, and varied forests. The Forest Bells serve as a common walking destination. Access is off Indian Hill Road.
