Fellsmere Pond is a reservoir in Malden that was created in 1875 by Elisha Converse, the founder of Boston Rubber Shoe Company, as an emergency water supply for the factory. The pond is surrounded by Fellsmere Park, a scenic public park that was established in 1893 with the help of Frederick Law Olmsted, a famous landscape architect. The park features a walking path, a fountain, open grass, and wooded areas.
