The Hardy Pond Association (HPA), a Project of the Waltham Land Trust, focuses on maintaining and improving the environmental condition and recreational uses of Hardy Pond with its surrounding open space and wetlands, located in the northwest corner of Waltham.
Hardy Pond is home to a wide variety of wildlife as it has approximately 45 acres of water, with similar-sized adjacent wetlands.
The walking route through the streets of the surrounding neighborhood of the pond is a pleasant stroll, providing some nice views of the pond. Lazazzero, Shore Road, and Smith Point provide direct public access, while a short section passes through woods and wetlands. This “trail” also connects both Graverson and Lazazzero Playgrounds.
