Bayside and Belvidere Street, both located off Elm Street, provide access to the eastern end of Opechee Bay and the impoundment above the dam in Lakeport, the latter an occasional site for Pied-billed Grebe during migration.

Opechee Bay lies between Lake Winnisquam and Paugus Bay in Laconia. There are two parks on the bay, Opechee Park on the south and Bond Park on the east.
