Lower Beech Pond covers 155 acres and has a maximum depth of 50 feet. Lower Beech Pond is home to the Hidden Valley Property Owners' Association, a private development with year-round homes, cottages, beaches, a marina, and tennis courts. Lower Beech Pond was created in 1860 by an earthen dam on the Lower Beech Pond River.

Lower Beech Pond has a canoe launch at the sound end of the pond on Brown Road.
