The park offers fun for everyone year round. Activities include swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, canoeing, horseshoes and volleyball. The park boasts a 600-foot long sandy beach, boat ramp and picnic tables with grills. Winter visitors enjoy X-country skiing, ice fishing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Hunting and fishing are permitted. The park has over 1600 acres of land with a 265-acre lake and offers the hunter, angler, photographer and bird watcher numerous opportunities. NH Fish & Game stocks trout upstream of the lake, and releases pheasants in the fall.
Two large shelters (seating about 100 each) and one small shelter are available for family reunions, wedding receptions, or corporate outings and may be reserved for a fee. Electricity is available and all are served by nearby flush toilets.
In season, park rangers offer special interpretive programs on natural resources, water safety and flood control and gatehouse tours are also available.
