About this Location

Swanzey Lake, in the Monadnock region, was formed by damming the outlet of Swanzey Pond in the late 1700s and has a surface area of 108 acres and a maximum depth of 50 feet. The lake has two campgrounds, one for families and one for groups, and a municipal park with a beach, a pier, and a kayak launch. There is a canoe launch on Swanzey Lake Road at the south end of the lake. West Shore Drive and East Shore Drive circle the lake.
