Sugarloaf Mountain is a 3,950-foot mountain that is part of the Pliny Range in the White Mountains. The mountain is named for its resemblance to a sugarloaf, a conical shape of refined sugar that was common in the past. Sugarloaf Mountain offers views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, as well as opportunities for hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing. The summit can be reached by a 2.8-mile trail that ascends from the Sugarloaf Trailhead on NH-115.
The Hike New England website and the AllTrails website have descriptions and maps of hikes at Sugarloaf Mountain.
