About this Location

Morrills Farm is a historic farmstead located on Goodwin Point, a peninsula that juts into the Contoocook River in Penacook. The farm was established in the late 18th century by Samuel Morrill, a veteran of the American Revolution, and remained in his family for over two centuries. The farm complex includes a farmhouse, a barn, a carriage house, a corn crib, and several outbuildings, all dating from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The farm is notable for its scenic setting, its architectural diversity, and its role in the agricultural and social history of Penacook. The farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
