The Quonset/Davisville Bike Path in North Kingstown was built by RIDOT and the Quonset Development Corporation. Hugging the edge of the Quonset Business Park, the path extends 2.5 miles from Post Road (Route 1) to the Calf Pasture Point nature area in North Kingstown. It provides a unique recreational asset to the state’s largest industrial park and runs along the northern edge of the park, serving as a recreational asset to both workers and nearby residents.

The path runs 2.5 miles from Route 1 (Post Road) through the Quonset Business Park to the Calf Pasture Point nature area, managed by The Town of North Kingstown. The bikeway is entirely off-road.

Beginning at US-1, you pick up the path behind The Shops at Quonset Point retail plaza, and then pass other yet-to-be-developed parcels that were once part of two former Navy bases.

Keep an eye out for signs to the Seabee Museum & Memorial Park. Quonset was the birthplace and home of the Navy’s construction battalion forces at the start of World War II.

Following the path, you’ll pass along the edge of a quiet residential area before heading into a wooded area.

Numerous side trips are possible in the industrial park, including three public beaches, the North Kingstown Golf Course, the Quonset Air Museum, and ferry service to Martha’s Vineyard. Quonset is home to one of the northeast’s largest air shows each year.

At the path’s end, you can follow old paved roads into Calf Pasture Point to extend your ride, ending at nearly a mile of undeveloped beach. There are also many hiking trails through the unimproved park, but watch out for ticks!
