Halls Lake covers an area of 85 acres and has a maximum depth of 28 feet. The lake is popular for fishing, boating, and birdwatching. Halls Lake is surrounded by scenic hills and forests and is close to the historic village of West Newbury. The lake was created by a dam on the Wells River, which flows into the Connecticut River.
