Summer Street Park is also Montpelier’s oldest Park, having been donated at the same time as Hubbard Park by John Erastus Hubbard, in 1899.

The donation of Summer Street Park has enabled the park to be a neighborhood park where people gather, have occasional neighborhood events, where families and children play games or jump in piles of leaves, or where individuals stop to rest, reflect, eat lunch, read, and more.
