About this Location

Wrightsville Reservoir was created by the Wrightsville Dam on the North Branch of the Winooski River. The dam was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1933 to 1935, after the Great Flood of 1927, to provide flood protection to Montpelier and other downstream communities. The reservoir covers 190 acres and has a maximum depth of 25 feet.
