About this Location

Bragdon Preserve is an 80-acre property that features upland forests, fields, and meadows. It is owned and managed by the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS), a nonprofit organization dedicated to avian conservation and education. Bragdon Preserve is also recognized as an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society, because of its diversity and abundance of bird species. Since 1981, VINS has operated a bird banding station at Bragdon Preserve, where more than 40,000 birds of about 120 different species have been banded and studied.
