About Bragdon Preserve IBA
The Brandon Preserve (80 acres) is upland forest, fields, and meadows and is designated by the National Audubon Society as an Important Bird Area. It is the location of the Vermont Institute of Natural Science bird banding station which has been operated since 1981, which has banded more than 40,000 birds, approximately 120 different species.
